An unprecedented 80º interior angle

The team at UFO Dripper aimed at creating the cup profiles they love from conicals brewers. They have found that the 80º interior angle of this brewer design slows down the brew to maintain a respectable contact time even with the air channels, and means that it's less sensitive to smaller doses. This is because the shallower the brewer walls, the less the bed depth changes with varying doses. The angle also contributes to greater accumulation of fines above the bed, further increasing clarity.

UFO is designed to be the most forgiving conical brewer, using an unprecedented 80º interior angle, creating consistency the UFO team is looking for.

Air Channel Technology

UFO incorporates air channels instead of protruding ribs, which combined with the Disputer tool allows for the perfect filter set and consistent bypass. The air channels also contribute to equalizing the air pressure above and below the carafe, mitigating any risk of stalling.

Thermal Stability

The UFO team conducted extensive thermal testing, leading them to the current single-walled, solid Tritan design for the injection-molded V2. The Tritan material maintains superior thermal stability in the slurry, while also being extremely resistant to warping at boiling temperatures.

CONSISTENCY

The science behind the Graycano Special Edition Filter:

The graycano special edition is a redesigned SIBARIST CONE S FAST Specialty Coffee Filter. Its angle was adjust to fit the internal conical walls of the graycano dripper, which has a different angle as other conical drippers (for instance the V60).

With just a slight angle difference of -2,75o on the filter shape (once folded), the new filter fits perfectly over the graycano Lava Ribs. This prevents unwanted and random filter positioning, like tilted sitting or uneven contact with conical walls.The most common causes of uneven brewing are uneven extractions and inconsistent consistency. This adjustment brings the filter to a perfect fit for high consistency in extraction and flowrate.

Each time when the paper filter sits differently inside the graycano dripper, it disrupts these circulations by either detaining or enhancing air and water flow. Even if no factor was changed intentionally, an extraction recipe can have different results.

Using the special edition filter inside the graycano dripper ensures consistency in coffee extraction. In this way, air and water circulation between the filter and dripper are greatly improved.

This graycano Special Edition filter extracted in a slightly slower drawdown, but with a much smaller variation in time: 3 seconds. The CONE S had a drawdown time difference of 7 seconds

As a result of the wider angle of the regular CONE S, there are more air gaps in certain places depending on where the filter is placed.

The time difference and dispersion might increase under normal brewing conditions and with different pours.

Before First Use:

Wash the Booster with soap and hot water before the first use.

Brewing Process:

The Booster has three small tabs folded at an angle to aid in seating it inside the conical dripper. Ensure that the tabs are facing downwards. Place the Booster inside the dripper, making sure it sits level and flat, parallel to the dripper's bottom.
Insert a SIBARIST HYBRID filter into the dripper, making sure it covers the Booster completely.
Rinse the filter thoroughly, ensuring that the bottom of the filter is in contact with the Booster. This step helps remove any unwanted paper flavor and preheats your equipment.
Add your desired amount of coffee grounds to the filter.
Brew your coffee according to your preferred method.

The selection of materials and Sibarist's manufacturing process are focused on achieving the highest possible quality over any other factor, while always respecting process sustainability.

The FAST line is composed of a mixture of abaca fiber from plantations in Ecuador and the Philippines (where the product consumed is replanted every year to then be harvested, offering a sustainable process, with batch control and chain of custody), cellulose fiber from European pine plantations (FSC and PEFC) and organic plant-based (non-fossil) polylactic acid.

The main component, abaca fiber, is finer and more porous than other fibers, giving FAST paper good permeability (leading to a higher extraction speed), while offering great tensile and tearing strength in wet conditions, bringing structure and resistance to the composition, with a low substance (less paper). Additionally, the fibers are pulp made from non-wood fibers. This facilitates clean in-plant processing, essential for eliminating the presence of external flavors in the cup and for offering a high-quality filter, while it can also be processed in a more sustainable way.

Before First Use:

Wash the Booster with soap and hot water before the first use.

Brewing Process:

The Booster has three small tabs folded at an angle to aid in seating it inside the conical dripper. Ensure that the tabs are facing downwards. Place the Booster inside the dripper, making sure it sits level and flat, parallel to the dripper's bottom.
Insert a SIBARIST HYBRID filter into the dripper, making sure it covers the Booster completely.
Rinse the filter thoroughly, ensuring that the bottom of the filter is in contact with the Booster. This step helps remove any unwanted paper flavor and preheats your equipment.
Add your desired amount of coffee grounds to the filter.
Brew your coffee according to your preferred method.

Enjoy your freshly brewed coffee with the Booster and SIBARIST HYBRID Dripper for a delightful coffee experience!

Allow the brewing set up to cool down to room temperature.
Remove the filter and the Booster from your dripper. Ensure that you have located the Booster, which may be attached to the dripper's bottom or stitched to the paper filter.
Rinse both the filter and the Booster thoroughly with hot water.

The B3 HYBRID is a completely unique and innovative filter designed by Sibarist for conical drippers that gives a hybrid between flat bottoms and cone brewing, made with the B3 filter paper technology.

The hybrid shape encourages flow through the dripper by providing a faster and higher extraction, reducing the clogging that might appear on high filtration materials and avoiding the concentration of fines in one point. Also its B3 paper’s porosity allows clarity of flavor, and the rigidity of its structure minimize the contact points with the dripper creating even balanced cups.

An unprecedented 80º interior angle

The team at UFO Dripper aimed at creating the cup profiles they love from conicals brewers. They have found that the 80º interior angle of this brewer design slows down the brew to maintain a respectable contact time even with the air channels, and means that it's less sensitive to smaller doses. This is because the shallower the brewer walls, the less the bed depth changes with varying doses. The angle also contributes to greater accumulation of fines above the bed, further increasing clarity.

UFO is designed to be the most forgiving conical brewer, using an unprecedented 80º interior angle, creating consistency the UFO team is looking for.

Air Channel Technology

UFO incorporates air channels instead of protruding ribs, which combined with the Disputer tool allows for the perfect filter set and consistent bypass. The air channels also contribute to equalizing the air pressure above and below the carafe, mitigating any risk of stalling.

Thermal Stability

The UFO team conducted extensive thermal testing, leading them to the current single-walled, solid Tritan design for the injection-molded V2. The Tritan material maintains superior thermal stability in the slurry, while also being extremely resistant to warping at boiling temperatures.
