CAVE R’s rib designs affect the flow rate of your brew. The different numbers of ribs on either side create different space and airflow between the filter and the dripper.
Side A - 12 ribs towards the bottom - more airflow towards the bottom of the brew bed
Side B - 24 ribs from top to bottom - more overall airflow
Use conical filters with CAVE, folding the edge to a tighter angle, shown below:
